WRC TURISMO - For track use with earplug connection
The Stilo WRC 8860 Zero turismo helmet is not just the lightest open-faced helmet on the market but is also the safest to have passed the incredibly tough FIA 8860-2018 standard.
This standard was originally set for Formula 1 and is the highest safety standard available today, and is a required standard in all FIA World Championships, and required by priority 1 & 2 drivers in the WRC. Being the first open-faced helmet to pass the homologation testing is a testimony to the Stilo design and build quality.
The Stilo WRC Des 8860 Zero Turismo helmet is packed with technology all incorporated to give far better protection to the user at a tremendous weight saving of 20% less than our WRC Des 8860 helmet. The helmet absorbs 50% more impact energy and has improved load spreading during side-impact accidents. It also resists 30% more penetration energy and in turn 30% more protection against injuries caused by excessive rotational accelerations, making the 8860-2018 standard the toughest and highest on the market.
Manufactured in T1000 carbon the finish of this helmet offers a different appearance than cheaper and heavier carbon finishes, and is delivered in a matt finish to save weight when painted as required. T1000 carbon is an exceptionally lightweight and strong material, and the complete helmet when held can only be described as unbelievable.
The Stilo WRC Des helmet is also the first helmet to have added protection with EPS cheek pads giving the user extra protection to the sides of the face.
The helmet comes fitted with Stilo's renowned WRC electronics for the ultimate in noise cancelling and sound quality and has a Stilo connection plug for earplug connection.
The helmet comes with fitted FIA HANS posts.
