When using recording or data logging equipment out on track, a requirement is that it must be tethered to your vehicle. Due to the standard Garmin Catalyst mount being magnetic, it won't comply with track rules, however, by mounting the device with this bracket, you will be able to use it without any trouble! Simply unscrew the original mount, insert this bracket in between the components, and fix back together.
